 These websites are for those interested in finding organizations, vendors, and reviewers that are concerned with video and film.  It is primarily useful for students and instructors who are working in a Community College environment.

ORGANIZATIONS,  DOCUMENTS,  AND  DATABASES
 
              ACRL Media Resources Guide
                      Contains the latest guidelines from the American Library Association to operate
                a  Media Center in a community college, college, or university setting.

              Media Resources Center at the University of California, Berkeley
                       Is the best site--bar none--to search for information on film, videos, and audio.

              Consortium of College and University Media Centers (CCUMC)
                       Is one of the foremost organizations for college and university media personnel.

               Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT)
                        Is another topnotch organization for media personnel to join who are affiliated
               with a college or university environment.

              Video Round Table
                         Is an excellent American Library Association (ALA) media organization
               to join.   Sponsors conferences at ALA Annual which are timely and up-to-date.

              VideoLibrarian
                         Reviews the newest and latest in videos.

              American Film Institute
                         Lists the top 100 movies of the past 100 years...and much, much more.

              Internet Movie Database
                         Allows you to search for data on any movie you like.

Annenberg/CPB Project
                         Provides a wealth of college level videos at an extremely reasonable cost.

              Facets
                         Is one of the best vendors to use in trying to locate the latest movie on video.

              Films for Humanities & Sciences
                         Provides a wide assortment of videos from Science, History, and Language
               Arts that are relevant to a community college curriculum.

              Library Video Company
                         Provides a large selection of videos and CD-ROMs at reasonable costs.

              Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)
                         Is an excellent source of broad topics on video that are applicable to a
              community college curriculum.
