Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Funeral Service Technology (FST) students will host a Service of Remembrance on Thursday, Dec. 10 at the Gregory War Memorial Chapel on the Perkinston Campus. The service will begin at 12:30 p.m., but the chapel will be open at noon for quiet moments of reflection.

The speaker will be FST graduate Ron C. Regan Jr. MGCCC math instructor Jason Ross will play the prelude and postlude and FST program director Bill Harvey will sing “In the Bleak Midwinter.” The Perkinston Choir and Mississippi Sound will sing “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Surely the Lord is in this Place.”

As part of the Service of Remembrance, ornaments are made available so participants can write names of loved ones on them and place them on the remembrance tree.

A Litany of Names will be read to honor those who have passed away during 2015. Ornaments will be available so participants can write names of loved ones on them and place them on the remembrance tree.

While the service is primarily to honor all staff, faculty, students and friends of the college who have passed away in the past year, everyone is welcome.
