Marsha Cummings and Gaye Winters - each has a story to tell,
stories that end in student success and personal gratification
in knowing that they touched many lives. For their focus,
dedication and professionalism, the Alumni Association honored
these instructors at the annual Alumni Spring Banquet on April

Difference
Maker Awards 2004
Raymond Hatten, Jannie Sue Smith, Darla Lyons and Maria McNally
have been selected as the 2004 L.N. Dantzler Difference Maker
Award winners. The college began this employee recognition
effort in 2003. The award is presented to four employees who
best exemplify the college mission of making a positive difference
in people’s lives every day.

Steven
Campbell hired as Bulldogs head football coach
A new era of football at Gulf Coast is beginning with the
selection of Steven Campbell as head coach. The college’s
Board of Trustees approved Campbell for the position at its
March 17 meeting at the Perkinston Campus.

history project gives veterans a voice
The Veteran’s History Project officially launched on
March 9 on the college’s JD Campus. More than 150 guests,
including veterans, took part in an informative breakfast
to find out more about this massive, local effort to record
and preserve their stories.
