holiday happenings at the college
The countdown to the holidays is in progress for students
and college employees at Gulf Coast. Although offices close
on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m., a variety of activities are underway
at each campus to celebrate the holiday season and the spirit
of giving.

Project
M.A.S.H. - Mission Accomplished
Project M.A.S.H. (Make a Soldier Happy) was an overwhelming
success in its first year. Gulf Coast staff, administration
and students assisted in collecting more than 220 boxes full
of everyday items and $1,500 in cash for U.S. soldiers.

Horticulture
students plant Stone County House
As the final touches were being made inside the Stone County
Courthouse for its grand opening, all 25 students from Perk’s
horticulture program were outside preparing the grounds. For
two straight weeks in November, students reported directly
to the courthouse for their daily class work.
