Scaggs new VP at MGCCC Jefferson Davis Campus

Dr. Susan Scaggs is coming back home to Mississippi. At its Nov. 21 meeting in Perkinston, the Board of Trustees of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College approved Scaggs as the new vice president of the Jefferson Davis Campus in Gulfport.

MGCCC Festival of Lights warms up chilly evening

It was so chilly on Friday, Dec. 1, that it felt like it was cold enough to snow. For a little while at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Perkinston Campus, the white stuff fell…thanks to an artificial snow machine.

MGCCC Early Childhood Technology Program

A child care facility that will be made available to students at the Jefferson Davis Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is scheduled to open January 2008. The facility, which has been a vital piece of the strategic plan for Gulf Coast’s future, was delayed by the consequences of Hurricane Katrina.

New access road at JC Campus opens for business

A few years ago, Jackson County Board of Supervisors member Manly Barton remembers going to lunch with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College President Dr. Willis Lott, and Jackson County Campus Vice President Dr. Rick Christmas. The subject of that lunch was a plan to expand and improve the facilities at the JC Campus.
