State
community colleges praise House action on funding
Mississippi’s 15 community and junior
colleges are pleased with the Mississippi House. When the
House approved spending to support the Mississippi Adequate
Education Program on Jan. 11, it also funded a $45 million
increase for two-year colleges, including a five percent
salary increase for community college faculty.
