A Caribbean
getaway on the JD Campus

The Language Arts Department at the JD Campus recently held a spring
“Caribbean Social” for all campus employees. A pink
flamingo, a slide show of island scenes and a little Jimmy Buffet
music brought the theme to life and co-workers together.
Each instructor from the Language Arts Department was introduced
and explained a little about their classes and responsibilities.
Instructors, like Gaye Winter say, “The socials are a great
way for all employees to just visit each other, ask questions and
eat great food in a relaxing setting.”
This open house “social” is part of a new project started
by Professional Development to showcase each department and give
co-workers the chance to meet. Some other “socials”
include the Business Department, with a Mardi Gras theme, and the
Student Services Department, with the Cruise Ship/Love Boat theme.
