MGCCC Men 2, Pearl River 1

Gustavo Clavijo and Ryan Wheelock each scored goals as the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College men’s soccer team defeated Pearl River 2-1 on Sept. 2 at the college’s Perkinston Campus. The Bulldogs are now 2-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the south division. On Wednesday Sept. 6, Gulf Coast will host Meridian at 4 p.m.

Pearl River Women 3, MGCCC 2

Keisha Magee and Kim Stevenson scored goals for Gulf Coast, but it wasn’t enough as Pearl River defeated the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 Sept. 2 at the college’s Perkinston Campus. Gulf Coast (1-3, 0-1) host Meridian on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m.
