The GECo Program

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has developed its General Education Core (GECo) program to meet the educational developmental needs of persons pursuing an Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Applied Science degree, or Associate of Applied Science degree in Occupational Education.
The GECo program is designed for students who work full-time and want to begin or continue their college studies in the evenings and on weekends. Classes are offered on an accelerated schedule (half-semester terms), beginning at different times of the year. Classes meet one night a week and at least one Saturday each half-semester term (on a year-round basis), allowing students to complete the program in the shortest time possible.
