Career Planning and Testing
CHOICES CT
This computer-assisted career guidance program gives quick access
to new and motivating ways to review work experiences, transferable skills,
interests and personal priorities. CHOICES CT has a list of over 650 occupations.
It contains information on beginning salary, future outlook, similar occupations
and academic requirements. There is also a database of over 7,000 colleges
and universities with related information. These databases make it easy
to research occupations and obtain transfer information for colleges and
universities.

Career Assessment
The MGCCC Career Center provides an opportunity for individuals
to participate in an online career assessment through E-Choices (http://www.echoices.com).
To use E-Choices, you will need the following information:

Placement Services
Job placement and career services provided include:
- Job Board lists hiring notices and job vacancies in the community.
- Job Listings - Employers may list full- and part-time job openings
with the Career Center.
- Resume' writing assistance and a Resume'
Builder are available.
- Labor Market Information - Printed resources and computerized
software are available to give clients information about the labor
market today and for the 21st century.
- Employer Information - Company brochures and applications are
housed in the center and are available for student and client
to use. Students are also able to utilize the online Career Opportunity
bank.
- Job Fair - A Job Fair is held each spring at the Mississippi
Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. Employers from across the
state and nation, who are currently hiring employees participate
in this event.
- WIN Job Centers offer additional assessment, job placement and
referrals.
Job Fair
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is a proud sponsor
of the Southern Region Military and Civilian Job Fair. This event
helps bring employers together with job seekers that best match
their needs.
