2008 Alumni Hall Of Fame Nominations

MGCCC seeks nominations for Alumni Hall of Fame

Since 1970, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has honored many of its outstanding alumni with induction into its Alumni Hall of Fame.

In 2008, the tradition continues as the college’s Alumni/Foundation seeks nominations for this year’s class. The Hall of Fame Award was established to honor former students who have exhibited exceptional merit and achievement which brought fame and honor to the college.

To qualify for the award, a person must meet the following criteria: attended for at least one year (either high school or college) the Gulf Coast campus for which he or she is nominated; must have exhibited merit and achievement which brought fame and honor to the college; must not be currently holding a local, elected political office; must have 10-year career minimum (except for unusual circumstances); and must not be a current employee of the college.

Anyone may nominate a former Gulf Coast student. To nominate an individual for the Alumni Hall of Fame, log onto the college Web site, www.mgccc.edu, and click on the link www.mgccc.edu/ALUMnomination_form.htm and follow the instructions. Deadline for nominations is June 30.
