Do you want to be your own boss but not sure what it takes to start a business? Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College may have the answer for you. The college, in partnership with the Gulfport Win Job Center, will host a entrepreneurial education course designed to give participants the basics of business start-up, financial management and business success. This course will be taught on Friday afternoons for 12 weeks, 2-4 p.m., beginning March 13, 2009, at the Gulfport Win Job Center on Highway 49.
Dr. Brent Hales, assistant professor of economic and workforce development at The University of Southern Mississippi, will be the instructor. Participants will be charged $15 to cover the cost of a workbook.
