New York City is a melting pot and microcosm of the United States. Nearly every facet of the country’s culture, social fabric, economics, politics, architecture, and community life exists in the “Big Apple”. No other city can rival NYC’s museums and glamorous Broadway is the heart of legitimate theatre in America.
Upon arrival in New York City, we will enjoy a group dinner and a visit to Top of the Rock, Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center where you can take your time and take it all in. Enjoy dramatic views of New York City’s energy, wonder, and beauty.
Day Two takes us on a cruise around Manhattan Island, where we will see the Statue of Liberty from the boat. Afterwards, we will Visit Ground Zero, The Globe in Battery Park, Wall Street, and A Behind the Scenes Tour of a Broadway Show. Don’t worry, you will have the afternoon and dinner on your own to enjoy the sights of your choosing.
On Saturday we will visit the famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, home of the singing waiters, for a group breakfast while being entertained by future starts of the stage and screen. After breakfast you can join us for an optional walking tour of Times Square and Theatre District, Rockefeller Center, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Once again, you will have the afternoon and dinner on your own to book your favorite Broadway Show or enjoy the great shopping opportunities.
Sunday morning you will be able to explore more sights of your choosing on your own. We will meet for a Matinee performance of the Broadway Show “Aladdin” and enjoy a farewell group dinner.
Before we depart, we will enjoy a guided tour of the “neighborhoods” which will include: Chinatown, Tribeca, Central park, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village. Of course, there will be time for last minute shopping for souvenirs.
