Denise James Doyle has been named to the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Board of Trustees. She began her term on March 16.

A continuing professional education associate with Steve Passin & Associates, Doyle received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. She is treasurer for the Gulf Coast Symphony Guild and the chair of Marketing and Membership for the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra Executive Board; secretary and former vice president of the of the Jackson County Republican Women; president of the Jackson County Republican Club; an executive committee member and secretary of the Jackson County Republican Party; and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs.

The MGCCC Board of Trustees, which comprises 23 members representing George, Harrison, Jackson and Stone counties, meets monthly. Doyle replaces Delores Sumrall, who had served as a Jackson County representative on the Board for 29 years.
