More than 67% of our students receive some type of financial assistance and our goal is to make your MGCCC experience affordable and accessible through financial aid programs.
MGCCC administers federal, state, institutional and outside financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships, work programs, and loans. Some aid programs require that you demonstrate financial need. The basic types of financial aid are:
Federal Student Aid Programs include Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG), Federal Stafford Loans, PLUS Loans, and Work-Study. MGCCC has financial aid offices at three convenient locations, Jackson County, Jefferson Davis, and Perkinston. Each campus office is staffed by a Director of Financial Aid and support staff. Offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Summer term). You may contact each office by phone, fax, e-mail or in person.
