LEAP is a federal grant with state matched funds awarded to Mississippi residents who are enrolled as full-time students (12 or more hours) and have financial need. The award can be between $200 and $1000 an award year depending on the availability of funds.
The Academic Competitiveness grant is awarded to undergraduate students who are Pell Grant-eligible and meet specific eligibility requirements. The maximum award for a first year eligible student is $750; the maximum award for a second year eligible student is $1300.
