
Residence-hall rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, the date of application for housing will determine whether requests are met.
Steps to securing a room
We suggest that students requesting the same room assignment forward their applications to the Housing Office within the same mailing. If you decide to cancel your room reservation, do so as soon as possible or at least two weeks prior to registration. Residence hall fees are nonrefundable.
You will receive confirmation at Orientation of your residence hall and room number.
At residence-hall check-in, you will be asked to sign a Residence Hall Contract and complete a Room Condition Report. These contracts are binding. Once you sign them, you will be responsible for the entire semester’s room fees, even if you move out before the end of the semester. Your meal charges may be prorated upon checkout date.
Residence halls will close at 3 p.m. and reopen at 3 p.m. for the holidays listed below:

You may also make your request for special housing accommodations through the Dean of Student Services at the Perkinston Campus. Priority deadline for special accommodations is June 1.
