Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jefferson Davis Campus ceramics students will hold a pottery sale to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project on Wednesday, April 20, from 10 am. to 3 p.m. in the campus commons. Each year, the ceramics classes choose a charity to sponsor for the event.

“Ceramics students have worked over the course of the fall and spring semesters to make work for this event,” said Matt Steadman, three-dimensional art instructor. “There will be plates and bowls available in a multitude of styles and designs.”

He said there will be more than 80 pieces to choose from at the show, and items do not have a fixed price. “There is a $10 suggested donation for each piece, but all donations will be accepted,” he said. “Some of the works are outstanding and offer patrons the opportunity to support the arts and our wounded veterans at the same time.”

The event is open to the public. For more information, contact Steadman at (228) 897-3736 or matthew.steadman@mgccc.edu.
