MGCCC held its 2016 Commencement Ceremony on May 12 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.  More than 1,000 students participated in the event.

This year, 2,157 individuals earned 3,589 credentials or degrees and more than 700 students graduated with honors distinction.

Bruce Chinn, general manager of the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery, gave the commencement address before a packed house.

MGCCC also held its Allied Health Pinning Ceremony earlier in the day.  Graduates in Nursing and Allied Health programs stated their oaths, received awards and participated in the candle-lighting ceremony. Kevin Holland, chief executive officer for Singing River Health System, was the keynote speaker.
