Donations to aid four patients at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jefferson Davis Campus is hosting a blood drive with Mississippi Blood Services on Wednesday, February 24, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., and on Thursday, February 25, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., in the campus gymnasium.

MGCCC is inviting students, employees and the public to donate in honor of four patients at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital – Toni Marino, Freddie Green, Ryan LaSource and Andrew McCall.  With at least 100 donations within the two-day drive, each of the four children will be provided a $10,000 insurance protection plan to be used toward their blood charges.

Mississippi Blood Services is the only blood center headquartered in Mississippi and is the sole provider of blood and blood products to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
