Dr. Mary S. Graham, president of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, was selected by the Mississippi Business Journal for the Top 10 list for 2015 Business Woman of the Year.

“It is an honor to serve as a leader at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, an institution that prides itself on quality instruction, student success, community partnerships and innovation, all of which reflect good business practices,” said Graham, who, in August 2014, was selected as one of MBJ’s 50 Leading Business Women in Mississippi. “The college is committed to promoting and supporting the economic development of the district we serve – Stone, George, Harrison and Jackson counties – and implementing innovative business solutions, such as renting textbooks to keep costs for students low, to create an environment that, first and foremost, encourages student success.”

The Business Woman of the Year program honors the achievements and contributions of women in business from across the state, and it serves as a follow-up event to the 50 Leading Business Women program. Finalists for Business Woman of the Year are selected from the most recent 50 Women class. The finalists are honored during a luncheon in February, with the highlight of the day being the naming of the Business Woman of the Year.
