Veterans Walk, Jackson County Campus, November 10

The event will begin at 12:20 p.m. at the flagpole in front of the Warner Peterson Administration Building and will include a special honor guard ceremony and a keynote address by Chief Master Sergeant Sachiko D. Cleveland, superintendent of the 81st Force Support Squadron at Keesler AFB. Following the ceremony, participants will walk through campus bearing flags representing each branch of the military. Light refreshments will be served. The public, especially veterans, are welcome to attend this special event at no charge.

Fallen Soldier 5k Run/Walk, Perkinston Campus, November 11

Registration will begin at 4:15 p.m. at the Bell Tower.  Register by emailing upton@mgccc.edu no later than noon on November 5. Be sure to provide your T-shirt size.

Veterans Day Ceremony, Jefferson Davis Campus, November 11

The event will begin at noon in the Veterans Courtyard and will include a speech by General Mark Brown, Commander, 2nd Air Force, Keesler AFB, and a performance of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Coastal Vibrations. A reception will follow in the Commons Area. The event is free and open to the public.

Veterans Ceremony, George County Center, November 11

The event will begin at 11 a.m. in the Academic Building Lobby. Veterans will be presented certificates of appreciation, and balloons will be released. Refreshments will be served. Veterans and their families are invited to attend.
