

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is proud to present its 2008 homecoming queens. Each recipient was chosen by her fellow students to represent one of the college’s three campuses. They were crowned during halftime at the college’s homecoming football game on Oct. 11 at the Perkinston Campus.
AMBER TENNILLE GRUBBS is homecoming queen for the college’s Jackson County Campus. She is from Hurley and graduated from East Central High School. She is the daughter of Dara Grubbs and Harold Hibbs. She is completing her Bachelor of Arts preparatory work before attending The University of Southern Mississippi, where she plans to major in journalism. She is the Phi Theta Kappa treasurer and a member of the Honors Forum. She participates in the Relay for Life: Making Strides against Breast Cancer event and is a member of the Full Life Assembly of God Church in Hurley. She was escorted by James Jones during the homecoming ceremony.
CRYSTAL GARDNER, homecoming queen for the college’s Jefferson Davis Campus, is from Gulfport and graduated from Ocean Springs High School. She is the daughter of Jacqualine Stallworth and Willie Stallworth. After graduating from high school, she received her Certified Nursing Assistant license. She is on the Praise Dance Team at her church, First Missionary Baptist in Gulfport. She is majoring in nursing and plans to become a traveling nurse after college. She was escorted by her father, Willie Stallworth, during the homecoming ceremony.
ANNA CATHERINE GOFF is homecoming queen for the Perkinston Campus. She is from Lucedale and graduated from George County High School. The daughter of Ken and Cathy Goff, she is majoring in broadcast journalism and plans to attend the University of South Alabama. She plans to pursue a career as a television news anchor. She is a Perkette and a Bulldog Babe. During high school, she was elected Wittiest and Miss George County High School. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lucedale. She was escorted by her father, Ken Goff, during the homecoming ceremony.
