Jackson County Campus student receives Radiology scholarship

Lauren Cross, a student in the Radiologic Technology program at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County Campus, has been chosen to receive the Mississippi Radiological Society scholarship. The student chosen for the annual scholarship must show academic excellence, sound moral character and demonstrate financial need.

Cross, of Ocean Springs, will graduate from the program on May 10. She plans to continue her education in a radiation therapy program at the University of South Alabama.

The Mississippi Radiological Society is affiliated with the 34,000-member American College of Radiology, a national organization that includes radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, interventional radiologists and nuclear-medicine physicians.
