“Bulldog Blitz,” streaming audio both part of 2008 MGCCC football broadcast package

For the third consecutive year, radio station WAOY 91.7 FM will broadcast Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College football. The Bulldogs open the 2008 regular season Aug. 28 on the road against Northwest Community College. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Brad Kessie will handle play-by-play duties for the nine games this season, with Gulf Coast Sports Information Director Bill Snyder assisting with analysis and sideline reporting.
The games will also be available via streaming audio on the college’s website, www.mgccc.edu, and on the station’s website, www.waoy.com.
2008 also means year number two for “Bulldog Blitz,” a 15-minute show hosted by Snyder, with Gulf Coast head football coach Steve Campbell. Each week, “Bulldog Blitz” will contain highlights from Gulf Coast games, commentary from Campbell, and feature stories focusing on the college’s academic, athletic, career, and technical programs. “Bulldog Blitz airs every Friday Night on WLOX at 11:20 p.m. during the 2008 football season.
