Welcome to the Business and Office Administration department on the Jackson County Campus. This department is composed of two separate career tracks that students may consider when selecting a major to follow. ø One is the academic track where students take courses the first two years to receive an Associate of Arts degree. They can then transfer to a senior college or university for the last two years in order to receive a bachelor's degree. ø The second is the technical track where students take either a one- or two- year program designed for immediate employment. These technical programs lead to a diploma in the one- year program or an Associate of Applied Science degree in the two- year program. The Business Technology and Academic Business Departments are located in the Business and Office Technology Building (BT-Building) at the west back of the Jackson County Campus. The Business and Marketing Management Technology Department is located in the Maintenance and Security Marketing Management and Human Services Building (B - Building) at the center front of the Jackson County Campus. The faculty consist of nine instructors, one computer lab assistant, and one information technology specialist. For further information, you may contact Marsha Cummings, Department Chair, at 228-497-7762 or email marsha.cummings@mgccc.edu . This department offers students the opportunity to join the three very active student organizations: Phi Beta Lambda, Alpha Beta Gamma, and Delta Epsilon Chi. |
