The
Visual Art Division at the Jackson County Campus is comprised
of Two Dimensional Media, Three Dimensional Media, Art Education,
as well as Art History and Appreciation. Well-maintained
studios, classrooms, and galleries are equipped and furnished
to meet the needs of art courses and students.

The
sculpture and ceramics facility is equipped with wood and
stone carving tools, glass and pewter casting equipment,
electric wood working tools, 14 electric wheels, slab roller,
extruder, a Soldner clay mixer, a 16 cubic ft. electric
kiln, a 12 cubic ft. Olsen updraft reduction gas kiln, and
a raku kiln. Students in Ceramics also have the opportunity
to participate in wood firing field trips to a kiln in Leakesville,
MS.
