The mission of the Science Department is to provide quality instruction that will provide students with the knowledge of the basic scientific concepts in the disciplines offered by the department. These disciplines include Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Physical Science, and Biotechnology. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications. Students are prepared to successfully transfer into baccalaureate degree programs, associate degree nursing programs, and technical programs. The Biotechnology program is a two-year program that prepares students for immediate employment.
