Johanna Martin, Secretary,    I was born in NYC but moved north (60 miles or so) when I was five.  I attended a one-room school for three years until the school was closed and I was sent to a consolidated school where I graduated.  I earned a BS degree in School Nurse Teacher Education from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and also passed the New York RN Boards.  Soon after graduation I married and moved to Mississippi, but promptly moved back (temporarily) to Syracuse, NY where my husband was sent for training.  As my husband’s job involved extensive travel, I went with him and visited many areas I had only read about.  Later I worked for a time at KAFB Hospital in a private research project.  After that I became a stay-at-home mom until my youngest started the third grade.  I then decided that I wanted to take some courses that interested me so I came to JC.  I was asked to consider working in the library while a student and I did so, thereby rediscovering my love for books (I had wanted to become a librarian, but circumstances directed me on another path).  When the library required a second secretary, I was hired, and so ends the tale.
