MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE COMPUTER COMPETENCY. Students enrolled at MGCCC must demonstrate computer competency in order to graduate and earn a degree from MGCCC. This requirement may be met by any one of the following ways: 1) successful completion of a computer course indicated on the high school transcript equivalent to 1 Carnegie Unit; 2) successful completion of a required college computer course in a degree program; 3) successful completion of a 3 credit hour computer elective course; 4) computer course credit by a departmental examination, CLEP or other non-traditional credit as defined in the catalog “Credit by Non-Traditional Means” or 5) successful completion of the MGCCC computer competency exam.
