MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE FULL TIME STATUS When students begin their nursing courses, ADN students are required to enroll in at least 12 semester hours of credit each semester. Should students complete all the pre- and co-requisite courses prior to their first, second, or third semester clinical nursing courses (NUR 1110, 1210, and 2310), they are required to take an additional two (2) credit-hours of their choice along with the clinical nursing courses. One (1) and two (2) credit-hour nursing electives that augment the nursing curriculum are available to assist students to meet the full time requirement. ADN students may take the nursing electives or any other course they choose to fulfill the full-time requirement. The fourth semester of the program contains 12 credit hours of required nursing courses. |
