MISSISIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROGRAM OBJECTIVES Upon the successful completion of the Associate Degree Nursing Program, the student will be able to: 1. Evaluate competent, caring interventions for clients/families across the life span during states of health and health deviation. 2. Advocate effective communication skills to interact with clients/families and members of the health care team. 3. Synthesize clinical reasoning and decision-making skills that reflect critical thinking and the current state of nursing practice. 4. Assume autonomous and collaborative leadership roles in meeting the health care needs of society. 5. Integrate knowledge of ethnic and cultural diversity as essential considerations in the practice of nursing. 6. Incorporate legal and ethical principles in nursing practice. 7. Promote professional accountability. 8. Assume responsibility for professional growth. |
