Mission:
The Social Studies Department provides students with (1) educational opportunities to enable them to understand and appreciate the rich heritage of our past, (2) opportunity to understand the complexity of our present world and to recognize the existing grave threats to our cherished way of life, (3) the opportunity to become more responsible citizens of our democracy, and (4) with realistic information about job opportunities in the social science's and to help the individual to understand the relationships and obligations to society and thereby live a more meaningful and contributive life.
