Britney Kuehn is a native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi where she grew up training at Donna’s Visual Performing Arts Center. Britney attended The University of Southern Mississippi, where she danced as part of their Repertory Dance Company for four years, graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Fine Arts, in Dance Performance and Choreography and a minor in Theatre.
She has taught the past seven years throughout Mississippi and South Louisiana, dancing and choreographing professionally with the Marigny Opera Ballet, Hinge Dance Company and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans Dance Team.
She is ecstatic for the opportunity to share her passion of dance and choreography with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the Perkette Dance Team. Her deeply embedded passion for movement, physical fitness, and dance and her desire to share it with others truly makes this position a “dream job.” She believes dance provides transcendence. By developing skills and knowledge as movers, dancers, and artists, Britney seeks to unearth a greater sense of purpose in her students.
As MGCCC Perkette coordinator, Britney is dedicated to giving dancers a challenging education that equally emphasizes hard work and fun, as well as the “magic” and overall artistry of dance and movement. She is excited to be part of the MGCCC family and to be #intheblue.
