Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has again been named a 2014 Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education. There are 92 colleges and universities nationwide that were selected for this honor, and MGCCC was one of only 21 community colleges to make the 2014 list.

The institutions named on the 2014 Great Colleges to Work For roster are selected based on the results a survey of more than 43,500 college and university employees by Modern Think. The survey rates institutions on 12 categories in the fields of leadership, careers, the workplace, and compensation. MGCCC’s top-rated categories included facilities, workplace and security; job satisfaction; and supervisor or department chair relationships.

“At Gulf Coast we are committed to being a great college – a college that focuses on innovative ways to help our students succeed,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, MGCCC President. “We are fortunate to have employees that embrace student success, and we are committed to providing the resources they need to best serve our students. Professional development, health care services, cutting-edge technology, and a positive work environment are factors that help support our institutional mission. We are grateful for our outstanding employees and we are dedicated to making MGCCC a great place to work and learn!”
