Two Schools Come Together for One Incredible Event

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jefferson Davis Campus will host the works of Gulfport High School faculty and students March 19-29, with a reception on March 26 at 6 p.m. in the campus Fine Art Gallery. The exhibit is entitled “Collaboration: Select Works from Gulfport High School Faculty and Students.”

Cecily Cummings, visual arts instructor and Fine Art Gallery director at the Jefferson Davis Campus, said, “Gulfport High School has an impressive fine-art program. Drawing, painting, ceramics, digital media and art history are taught at the school. Its art instructors are active in their field and use their talents and knowledge from the professional world of art to inspire students.”

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Jefferson Davis Campus is located at 2226 Switzer Road in Gulfport. The Fine Art Gallery is located in the Fine Arts Building (Building D).

Gallery hours are Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
