An Opportunity for MGCCC Students to Learn About Transferring to Alcorn State

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will host Alcorn State University fans and employees on Thursday, September 21, during the Bulldogs’ home game against East Central. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. in A.L. May Memorial Stadium on the Perkinston Campus.

While MGCCC hosted University Nights last year, utilizing the suites in the newly renovated stadium, this will be the first time Alcorn State has participated.

“We are so excited to have Alcorn State participate in our University Nights,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, MGCCC president. “Alcorn is a national leader in a variety of areas, including agricultural research and technology. Since nearly 70 percent of our students plan to transfer to a four-year university or college, we hope they will take the opportunity to learn more about the transfer scholarships available to them from Alcorn and from our other university partners during University Nights.”

Two more University Nights are planned this year: The University of Southern Mississippi on October 5 and The University of Mississippi on October 12. MSU night was held on August 31.
