An Opportunity for MGCCC Students to Learn About Transferring to MSU

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will host Mississippi State University fans and employees for the first MGCCC home football game on Thursday, August 31, at A.L. May Memorial Stadium in Perkinston. The Bulldogs open their season with a 7 p.m. Kickoff against the Itawamba Community College Indians.

“We are so excited to have Mississippi State participate in our first home football game, and we hope our students will take the opportunity to learn more about the transfer scholarships available to them from MSU,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, MGCCC president. “Nearly 70 percent of MGCCC students plan to transfer to a university, and University Nights give our students the chance to explore what our partner institutions have to offer.”

MGCCC hosted University Nights last year in the newly renovated stadium at the Perkinston Campus. This year, more universities have been included in the events.

University Nights scheduled for the 2017 season include Alcorn State University on September 21, The University of Southern Mississippi on October 5 and The University of Mississippi on October 12. Fans are encouraged to attend and support their respective university.
