High school seniors have the opportunity to experience college life a little early by participating in Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s 2016 Bulldog Day on Wednesday, October 26.  The annual event, geared toward providing an inside look at college for high school seniors and their parents, will be offered at the Jackson County, Jefferson Davis and Perkinston campuses.

“Last year, more than 2,100 prospective students joined us for Bulldog Day, and we hope even more attend this year,” said Dr. Carmen Walters, executive vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Success. “It is exciting to have so many prospective students and their parents on our campuses to see all that Gulf Coast has to offer.”

During the event, students will experience a peer-guided tour highlighting important campus offices, such as Financial Aid and Admission, the Student Center, campus bookstore, and library. They will also visit with members of student organizations, as well as learn about applying for admission, available scholarships, filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and preparing for college.

The day will include entertainment, lunch (at the Jefferson Davis and Jackson County campuses only) and free Bulldog Day T-shirts. There will also be a scholarship drawing.
