A Humorous Show About Life, Laughter, & Lessons Learned

The Perk Players at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Perkinston Campus will perform “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” November 8-10 in Malone Hall Auditorium at 6:30 each night.

About the Play

Based on Robert Fulghum’s bestselling books, “Kindergarten” takes a funny, insightful and heartwarming look at what is profound in everyday life. The show combines theatre and storytelling that weaves monologues, dialogues and multiple-voice narration that feature colorful characters such as a shy little boy who insists on playing the pig in his class production of “Cinderella” and steals the show, a man whose dream of flying carries him 11,000 feet over Los Angeles in an aluminum lawn chair lifted by 45 helium-filled balloons, and a mother of the bride, who brilliantly orchestrates the perfect wedding until everything goes wrong.

Directed by Dr. Bill Lipscomb and featuring a large, diverse cast of Perkinston Campus students, the play celebrates our very existence, from the whimsy of childhood to the wisdom of old age.

Tickets are $5 general admission. The play is for mature audiences.
